Chicago FUDG meeting 10 Jan 06
CFUDG member 'Professor' Tom Corrigan will look at the similarities (many) and differences (some) between database programming in VFP and .Net.

Two examples will be presented. The first is more or less the equivalent of using SQL Passthru in VFP. The second will involve the use of typed Datasets, table adapters and binding sources -- some of the spiffy new features in VS 2005. This should be of interest both to those who want to jump into the .Net world and those who just want to see what the competition to VFP is like.

Door prize drawing -- a years free membership on the Universal Thread, a $140 value!

Tuesday 10 January 2006 in the Monadnock Building at 53 W. Jackson in downtown Chicago Conference Room 826. The door opens at 5:30 PM, meeting starts shortly thereafter.
